This proprietary wine is a blend of all five red Bordeaux varietals.
An opaque, dark crimson color in the glass. A mélange of scents paint a rich, textured picture – huckleberry, black licorice, cedar, black berries, and clove spice. In the mouth, velvety tannins coat the palate, while additional flavors of mocha, boysenberry, and a pleasant iron-laden earthiness come to the fore. There’s a juicy acidity that carries through to the finish.
This may be the most complex and ageworthy Mariner to date.
