2014 La Crema Pinot Noir, Monterey

A bright, translucent ruby hue. Sassy notes of fresh orange zest and red cherries lead to whiffs of blackberry, blueberry, tea leaves, and notes of cocoa powder and woodspice. It is lithe and feminine in the mouth. This red is built for immediate consumption, but make no mistake – there is good complexity and tremendous drinking pleasure to be had here. Winemaker Elizabeth Grant-Douglas has hit a home run with the 2014 vintage.
