2008 Macari Vineyards ‘Dos Aguas’ Red Wine, North Fork of Long Island

The “two waters’ referenced in this red blend are Long Island Sound, which serves as the northern barrier of the Macari property, and Peconic Bay, which separates the two “forks” of Long Island. It’s a classic Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, and offers impressions of black cherry, licorice, boysenberry and baking spices. Rich, balanced, built to age and the wine to serve with bison or venison.
MSRP: $27 (March 2013)
