2011 Zocker Grüner Veltliner, Paragon Vineyard, Edna Valley
Light straw color. A perfumed nose full of delicate honeyed apple, melon, lemon/lime and an intriguing note of wintergreen. There is a sweet fruit presence in the mouth (though the wine is bone dry), and a pleasant minerality. Definitely New World in style, but compelling in its own way.
MSRP: $18 (August 2012)
Wine Lines rating: 90
