2009 Sea Smoke Chardonnay, Santa Rita Hills
Dark straw color. Rich wood notes of toast and baking spices frame a nose of perfumed flowers and butter-kissed tropical fruit. Perfectly in balance, with an opulent mouthfeel, the flavors expand to resemble pineapple upside-down cake. The butter-kissed fruit echoes forever on the finish. This is no runway model, but a voluptuous beauty.
