Nearly opaque, purple-plum in color, this wine is a classic Rhone varietal blend. Longer hang time (the majority of the fruit was harvested in the last half of November 2010) resulted in softer, mature tannins. Pepper-laced black and blue fruits waft from the glass, joined by wisps of paraffin and lavender. Mouth-filling, it shows sweet fruit with an earthy bass note. This wine a delight to drink on its own, but would be spectacular with a spit-roasted leg of lamb. A Wine Lines Value Vino.
