2009 Bella ‘Belle Canyon’ Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley
Opaque purple-black, with red tints at the rim. Faint whiffs of eucalyptus frame sedate, sweet, fleshy fruit. At the end, silty tannins pick up a note of licorice root. This wine has a decent mouthfeel, but the flavors lack focus.
MSRP: $35 (July 2012)
Wine Lines rating: 86
