2007 Concannon Vineyard Captain Joe’s Petite Sirah Reserve, Livermore Valley

Glass-staining opaque purple/black in color. Whiffs of polished leather give way to reveal sweet, fleshy black cherry fruit. It is silky on the palate, picking up black licorice. This wine shows a refinement of character worthy of the reserve designation.
