A blend of Barbera, Petite Sirah and Syrah, this wine is a translucent medium ruby color. In the nose, there is a faint note of nail polish remover that blows off to reveal crushed dark berries and a whiff of white pepper. In the mouth, the dark berries sweeten up and pick up a powdered chocolate note. It’s a smooth wine, with is little tannic bite at the finish. This is a versatile red that could pair well with a variety of cheeses, grilled meats and, yes, a nicely charred cheeseburger. Drink up.
