2009 Hess Allomi Petite Sirah, Napa Valley
Glass-staining opaque purple color, lightening at the edge. Enticing French oak shadings of shoe polish and leather lift up the black pepper tinged blackberry and Boysenberry fruit. The berry fruit sweetens up on the palate, picking up some creaminess, then finishes with powdered cocoa tannins. It would complement an array of sharp cheeses.
