2007 Alamosa Wine Cellars ‘Palette,’ Texas Hill Country
This wine mirrors the fine cuvees of France’s Rhone region — a blend of 67% Syrah, 18% Grenache, 13% Mourvedre and 2% Cinsault. Beautifully balanced, it showcases bright raspberry and cherry fruit flavors, joined by a hint of earth. The fruitful finish is joined by a “sprinkling” of white pepper. Slightly spicy sausages or game entrees would make outstanding pairing partners.
