2008 Enkidu Syrah, Kick Ranch, Sonoma County
Glass-staining opaque purple-black in color. In the nose, rich and savory aromas of blackberry compote, smoked game, polished leather, menthol, crushed black olive, and a hint of Christmas spices. Plush in the mouth, with fine-grained tannins. It is already throwing sediment. At the finish, fleshy dark fruits pick up a touch of earth.
