This is a Rhone-style blend. Opaque purple-plum color. Forward aromas of fleshy, dark berries, cherry, polished leather, and mulling spices lead to flavors of currant and blackberry. Some earthy tannins pop up at the end. Already throwing sediment, this wine should improve over the next few years, as the tannins settle out. Enjoy this wine with game meats in a berry reduction sauce.
