1995 St. Clement Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
A deeply extracted wine with ripe red berry and cherry fruit and spicebox qualities. In impeccable balance, it’s eminently drinkable now, but capable of aging gracefully for 20-plus years. This should be the benchmark wine that raises winemaker Dennis Johns to the Cabernet Winemakers’ Hall of Fame.
